Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about working with Loopjet

What does Loopjet do?
Loopjet is a software development studio. We design, build, and operate software for other companies — web platforms, mobile apps, AI products, internal tools, and the cloud infrastructure behind them. Software we've written and managed is used by over 5 million people worldwide.
Where is your team located?
Our engineering teams are based in Germany and Malaysia. The two locations let us cover a wide range of time zones, which means faster turnaround and responsive communication for clients across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. We work with clients in 12 countries.
What kind of projects do you take on?
Anything from a focused MVP to large platforms serving millions of users. Typical engagements include building a new product from scratch, extending or modernizing an existing system, adding AI capabilities, and taking over the operation and maintenance of running software.
What have you built before?
Publicly visible products include LearnLayer (learnlayer.io), Studeez (studeez.ai), CloudMensa (cloudmensa.io), Violet Dragonfly (violetdragonfly.io), TildeApp (tildeapp.it), and iix (iix.asia) — and many more projects that live behind our clients' brands or under NDA. Happy to walk you through relevant case studies in a call.
How does a project start?
It starts with a conversation. You tell us what you want to build or fix; we ask questions, then come back with an honest assessment: how we'd approach it, how long it would take, and what it would cost. No obligation, no lengthy procurement dance.
How do you charge?
It depends on the engagement. Well-defined projects can run on a fixed scope and price; evolving products usually work better on a monthly team or time-and-materials basis. Ongoing operation and maintenance is covered by a service agreement with clear response times. We'll recommend the model that fits your situation.
Do you maintain software after launch?
Yes — that's a core part of what we do, not an afterthought. We monitor, maintain, and evolve the systems we build (and systems built by others). Across our portfolio we sustain 99.8% uptime and resolve issues in an average of 4 hours.
Who owns the code and intellectual property?
You do. Code, designs, infrastructure configuration, and documentation produced for your project belong to you. We hand over clean repositories and make sure your team — or any future team — can take over without friction.
What technologies do you work with?
Modern, proven stacks: TypeScript and React for the web, native and cross-platform mobile, Python and Node.js on the backend, and the major cloud providers for infrastructure. We choose technology to fit the problem and your team — not the other way around.
How do you handle confidentiality and security?
We routinely work under NDA and treat it as standard practice. Data is handled according to GDPR, access is locked down per project, and security is part of our engineering process — from code review to infrastructure hardening.
